6-Week Mini Series: March 17 through April 25

All guided 45-minute exercise classes will be focused on specific conditioning (strength, muscle endurance, stability).

Drop-in: $7/person 6-Class Series: $30/person

Limited space (6 people per class).

Class Descriptions

Functional Strength & Balance (FSB 1a and 1b): Primary foci – improving or maintaining overall flexibility, stability, and core strength. This class is designed to strengthen the core and improve your functional fitness through a combination of stretching and stability work. Expect to see improvements in posture, balance and strength that will have a positive impact on your day-to-day activities.

Yoga .5 (a and b): 'Pre-beginner' yoga class. This is a gentler form of yoga for those persons that have diminished flexibility and strength that comes with aging, illness, or chronic health conditions. We do most of our practice in a standing position with emphasis on breathing and movement. We will focus on core strengthening postures, balance postures, and stretching.

Core Activation (Core 1a and 1b): Primary focus – proper recruitment/activation of core muscles that stabilize and provide support for nearly all daily living activities. We bring attention to all muscles that form the body's core and are essential for staying strong and flexible and improving performance, including back, side, pelvic, and buttocks, and abdominal muscles.

Core Intermediate (Core 2): This class builds on what has been learned and managed in Core 1 class. Class structure may include circuit-style workouts.

Stretch & Strength: Primary foci – improving or maintaining overall flexibility, stability, and core strength. This class is designed to strengthen the core and improve your functional fitness through a combination of strengthening exercises, stretching and stability work.
