Dr. Volker graduated from Northwestern College of Chiropractic in 1982. He is a graduate of Coon Rapids High School and Waldorf College. He attended Clemson University in South Carolina. He purchased Cambridge Chiropractic Clinic in 1982. The clinic was originally located at 100 N. Main. The clinic moved in 1989 to 2nd Ave SW. The clinic was re-modeled and expanded in 2000. Dr. Volker is a member of American Chiropractic Association and the Minnesota Chiropractic Association. He received his CCSP (Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician) certification in 1995. He is a member of the American Chiropractic Sports Physicians Association. He has managed the sports injury program for the Cambridge-Isanti High School in the past. He continues to provide injury assessment and management services to the Wrestling and Gymnastics teams. He was a member of the occupational injury prevention and safety team for Presbyterian Homes. He is a past member of the Foundation of Chiropractic Education and Research. He presently is serving on the Cambridge Medical Center Foundation board. Dr. Volker is married to Leah and resides in Cambridge. He is the proud father of 5 boys. Outside the office he enjoys watching his sons sing and compete in sports. He also enjoys spending time at the cabin with family and friends.

Dr. Kyle Volker is a 2012 graduate from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, Minnesota. Prior to joining the Cambridge Chiropractic team, he spent a year interning at Lyn Lake Chiropractic in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the Official Chiropractors of the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon. As an avid runner himself, Dr. Kyle enjoyed working with runners of all skill levels to keep them feeling their best and achieving their goals. He brings his passion for athletes of all kinds to Cambridge Chiropractic and has also been certified in Active Release Technique, what has been called the gold standard in soft tissue treatment. He also enjoys helping people with other sports related injuries, neck pain, low back pain, headaches, foot pain, and everything else between. Dr. Kyle is now providing chiropractic care to the residents of Cambridge and the surrounding area.

Dr. Ryan Oster graduated with honors from Northwestern Health Sciences University, College of Chiropractic in 2017. He is also a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a Master's degree in Water Resources Science in 2012 and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2007. Prior to his career as a chiropractor, he was employed with the US Geological Survey as a Microbiologist with interest in water quality and public health. He is a member of the American Chiropractic Association and believes that advocacy for chiropractic is essential to provide optimal care for his patients. He understands that chiropractic has a unique role in health care, providing effective relief for a variety of muscular and skeletal conditions.

Dr. Ryan enjoys helping and educating patients from all backgrounds, whether it be a child, young adult, athlete, or older adult. He is a Certified Medical Examiner and can perform DOT physicals. He has a strong passion for the outdoors and enjoys fly fishing, hiking, and anything else that gets him outside. Dr. Ryan is happy to be serving Cambridge and the surrounding communities.

Heidi Brown, F.N.P. is a board certified nurse practitioner who earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from The College of St. Scholastica in Duluth in 1993. She then returned to St. Scholastica for her master’s degree as a nurse practitioner in 2009. Originally a high school graduate from Elk River, MN - she has lived on a hobby farm in the Rock Creek area for over 20 years with her spouse, son and daughter. She has enjoyed being an avid cheerleader for all community and school sporting events.

She has previously worked in public health, school nursing, home care, long-term care, urgent care and primary care facilities in the east central region. She knows how important it is to advocate for your family member’s health, but not to forget your own health needs. Her clinical interests include education and health promotion for people all ages, and collaborative care with patients and their families.

She is ACLS certified and is certified for DOT medical exams. She offers advanced practice clinical outpatient interventions and is excited to be a part of the integrative care team at Comprehensive Health Clinics since September 2016.

Physical Therapist

David Poulter is a British trained Physical Therapist. He emigrated to Australia in 1986 where he ran a private practive specializing in treating musculoskeletal conditions. He obtained his Diploma in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy in 1992. Upon completion of his diploma course, he moved to New Zealand to teach the McKenzie Institute International Diploma course. David spent 3 years working alongsided Robin McKenzie developing the diploma program. He moved the McKenzie Diploma course to its new home at Two Rivers Center in Coon Rapids, MN in 1995. David was the McKenzie Institute International Director of Education from 1996-1998. He taught the diploma course from 1995-2000 at the Two Rivers Clinic and for NovaCare after 1998. He was a Senior Faculty Member of the US McKenszie Institute from 1995-2000 and of the McKenzie Institute international from 1992-2000. David was the former Market Manager and Clinical Lead for NovaCare Rehabilitation North market. He worked as a Senior Physical Therapist and Clinical Educator for Orthology, Physical Wellness, in Coon Rapids, New York City, and Washington DC. David has also been developing and teaching his own courses based on the "Patient Centered Model". He has presented his two main courses "Patients have all the Answers" and "Telling Isn't Teaching" in Britain, Sweden, Denmark, Greece, an the USA. He has also presented courses on Spinal Differentiation and Manual Techniques in a Patient Centered Paradigm.

David has spent time in Niger, Africa volunteering at a mission clinic treating patients with complex medical conditions. He specializes in treating musculoskeletal issues, patient empowerment, and self treatment. He has extensive experience treating condtitions of the spine, shoulder, hip, knee, and post surgical rehabilitation.

Wendy has been serving Cambridge Chiropractic patients as a Rehabilitative Exercise Class instructor since 2013. Her background includes a degree in Exercise and Sports Science from Hamline University and many years as Cambridge-Isanti's Head Gymnastics Coach! Wendy completed training through the National Institute of Health Science as a Back Specialist, and holds a certification as a personal trainer from the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

Ashley grew up in Isanti and is returning now to her home town to offer her services as an acupuncturist. After beginning her studies at Anoka Ramsey Community College, she traveled to Seattle to pursue her Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She graduated from Bastyr University in 2015. Ashley’s interest in Chinese medicine stems from the vantage that good health arises from lifestyle choices and preventative medicine in alignment with nature. She has focus in digestive health, anxiety, depression, spiritual well-being, sexual and reproductive health, as well as interest in the treatment of pain. She is a certified Chinese herbalist, Reiki II practitioner, & practitioner of Spring Forest Qi Gong. In her spare time, she enjoys swimming, kettle-belling, learning about plants and animals, motorcycling, and spending time outdoors.

He began studying at the Atlantic University of Chinese Medicine in Asheville, NC and completed his education at Northwestern Health Sciences University in 2007. Byron's goals as an Oriental Medicine practitioner are to bridge the gap between Eastern and Western medicine, and provide the safest, most comfortable, and effective treatment for his patients. Byron offers his expertise in treating pain, neuropathy, and pain management in all regions of the body. He also offers treatment for a variety of psychosocial complaints. Byron stays active in the latest nutritional research to properly educate his patients. Byron also enjoys spending time with his niece and nephews, grain free cooking and nutrition, snowboarding, and restoring old cars.
